Fragments pt. 2
(Black/white 35mm film, MGIV Fiber Paper)
Somehow we’re already at the beginning of August and, for me at least, it’s usually around this time of year where I’m torn between looking forward to beginning a new semester and thinking it’s a shame summer has past by so quickly. Luckily, my school starts a bit later than usual and I don’t have to move-in until Labor Day in the first week of September.
These are the last nine of my final prints (you can view the other prints here and here.) Thank you for all of you lovely comments about the first nine prints; I really appreciate any comment on my artwork and it makes me want to work harder towards creating pieces that I’m proud to show people. The way I work and my inspirations are constantly in flux and it’s nice to have an outlet to post it.

Anyways! this is such a lovely continuation of your Fragments project! As always, I love the reflections that you show here – there are just so many layers to examine and that's what makes it so great. And as much as I love the reflection ones, I think my favorite is the second picture – the door only offers a part of the kitchen, but I think that's very cool. Leaves a lot open. 🙂

I love all your b/w film prints. There’s just always something so raw about film that makes it more genuine than digital…but that’s just me. haha
Thanks! Yeah, I really enjoy working with a film camera. Without a doubt when I do take digital photographs, though, I use manual so I have control over what I’m photographing (and as much as I love film, the inaccessibility of darkrooms is a shame.)
